We check first
Doodle coats mat close to the skin and hide it well. We check the whole coat with you and tell you what we see before we start.
Kind over long
If a mat can be brushed out without hurting your dog, we do it. If it would hurt, we shave it short and let it grow back healthy.

Brush down to the skin
Doodle coats tangle close to the skin, where you can't see it. Brush with a slicker, then check with a comb. If the comb catches, keep brushing there.
Stay on a schedule
A doodle on a regular schedule keeps its length. Let the coat go too long and mats can mean a short shave.
Bring a photo of the cut
Teddy bear, lamb or a shorter puppy cut: a photo of the look you like is the quickest way to get it.

Questions
questions
How often should a doodle be groomed?
Every 4 to 6 weeks keeps most doodle coats comfortable and free of mats. Brush at home between visits, down to the skin.
What cut should I ask for?
Bring a photo if you can. A teddy bear look, a short, easy cut all over and a longer, fluffier style are the most popular. We'll tell you what the coat can hold.
Why does my doodle have to be shaved?
Mats close to the skin can't be brushed out without hurting your dog. A short cut lets the coat grow back healthy, and we always talk it through first.
Do you use cage dryers?
No. We don't own them. Your dog is hand dried while we brush, never shut in a hot dryer box.
How much does a doodle groom cost?
Doodles are priced by size, like every dog: a full groom starts at $80 for toy and small, $100 for medium, $130 for large and $160 for extra large. These prices are a starting estimate.
What is a teddy bear cut?
A rounded, fluffy face with the body trimmed even. It is one of the most asked-for doodle looks. Bring a photo and we'll match it to your doodle's coat.
Can you keep my doodle's coat long?
If the coat brushes out without hurting your dog, yes. If it is matted close to the skin, a shorter cut is kinder, and we talk to you before we start.
